The History
Built in 1898, the MacLeod House was named for one of Newberry's greatest leaders - Donald McLeod.

Achieving his wealth and stature in the community through his work in the Lumbering Industry and the Hotel Industry, Mr Mcleod was one of the area's leading citizens. This beautiful home remained in the MacLeod family til 1955.


This amazing bed and breakfast has many historical details and countless original features. To visit here is to step back into time!

It boasts a beautiful red oak staircase, an elegant copper fireplace featuring a double oak mantel, gorgeous oak, maple, cherry and walnut inlaid parquet floors, French style doors & plate warmer (built-in) in the dining-rooms radiator.



Your memorable stay at the MacLeod House will include a tasty full breakfast. French toast, homemade muffins, fruits, juice and fresh brewed coffee are served on our Victorian patterned china.
