In Baraga County you will find Mt. Arvon, Michigan’s highest point. Mt. Arvon stands 1,979.2 feet above sea level. It is located in Baraga County, about 27 miles from L‘Anse, Michigan
Huron Islands National Wildlife Refuge, is a remote chain of eight small islands about three miles from the mainland shores. The islands are granite based and provide nesting areas for birds such as gulls and commorants. The Huron Island Lighthouse, is located on Huron Island, the second largest island within the refuge.
